If this isn't Pokemon #720, I smell generation seven might be on the way.

If not, then maybe GameFreak will be releasing the Pokemon XY remake game? Pokemon Z version, I think people have been calling it.

The magazine had also reported last year that the Pokémon franchise's 2015 film would feature "Primal Reversion" forms of the legendary Pokémon Groudan and Kyogre.

No it didn't.

I await to see how this Legendary Pokémon makes use of its power of traveling through dimensions.
I hear that Hoopa is said to have its "true" form, but whether that's true or just a myth...I must keep secret. Wink

That article is wrong. I actually have the magazine in question and it doesn't say what ANN claims it does.

I think they are running lower on ideas for Pokemon with 700+.

Hoopa is a djinn Pokemon which I think is a fairly neat idea.

It must be related to the rings that the legendaries in ORAS are in.

That's what I suspect too--I felt that Hoopa was responsible for those. Heck, it might even be responsible for all those Mirage Islands and its spinoffs.

I was wondering when Hoopa would be announced, since as the months went by since it was discovered through data-mining Pokémon X and Y, it became increasingly obvious that there were hints strewn about the games. By the way, spoiler[Unbound Hoopa is creepy as hell].

That's what people have been saying since Generation III, and yet every generation has produced some really popular Pokémon. Considering Ken Sugimori has kept a series of sketchpads that have well over 1,000 potential Pokémon designs in them, I don't think the gas is running out, or anywhere close.

Besides, we haven't had a portal-themed Pokémon before.

Back in December hackers found Hoops in X/Y or ORAS code. Most of the community knew it was coming just a matter of time. There's even speculation in the this Kotaku article how you might go about getting it http://kotaku.com/the-legendary-pokemon-that-only-hackers-own-1665657672

You try and draw 700+ creatures with with their unique look. Wink

To be fair, they cut down on the number of new Pokemon for XY. Granted you had Mega Evolutions too, but still less all new Pokemon all the same...

Well, the people at Serebii found the name "Hoopa" before they found out what it looked like a few months after X and Y came out. They also found Hoopa's type combination, as well as Volcanion and its type combinaton. (Diancie was already officially announced by then though.)

The name Hoopa was actually found in a Japanese trademark database before the games were even out. Same with the other two mythicals.

Wow, so it was even earlier than that? How did they figure out the types Diancie, Hoopa, and Volcanion would have?
