... but, I'm actually sorta looking forward to this new live-action Akira.

If, that is, *IF* they use some of the neat stuff in the manga that was omitted in the anime. Like Akira and Tetsuo's dictatorship.

If they just decide to make some Jerry Bruckheimer-ized version of the first film, well, screw it.

Since this is Hollywood, though, my money's on the latter. Sad.
