You wanna try editing your post to actually have some content, or should we all just assume your trolling and should have your post deleted?

WOOHOO! I am pleased to see that it made its goal. Very Happy

EDIT: Also, for anyone who wants some specific extras, you can order them a la carte (as long as you pledge at the $60 level).

Add-ons: Backers who pledge at the $60 reward tier and higher will have the option to add additional basic, unsigned items:
  • $30 BD/DVD
  • $30 OST
  • $10 Challenge Coin
  • $55 Art Book
  • $30 t-shirt
  • $15 Unsigned Poster
  • $25 Storyboard
  • $25 Music Score
  • $25 Script
  • $200 Anthea 1/8 Figurine (Expensive because low volume print)
  • $100 Foldable Utility Box.

For Add-ons: Simply pledge at the $60 tier or higher and then add any additional amount for the desired items listed. When the KS is over we will send a survey to inquire how you would like the extra funds distributed.

Holy shit. I cannot believe it actually made it. I'm genuinely impressed.

I'm hoping it turns out to be good.

I wasn't sure if it was going to make it so I'm happy about this. I'm a backer but I couldn't up my pledge right now so this is good news. Very Happy

Whoo!

Probably won't make the stretch goals though, which is a little bit of a pity since a feature is their goal.

Still... Whoo! Glad when risky artistic projects succeed.

I'm relieved to see that it succeeded. It seemed uncertain for a while; the rally in the past day or two has been impressive. The first thing I saw of this was a small poster in my Otakon back and a large post in the halls there, neither of which really explained what it was.

I hope that this turns out well. I appreciate their desire for creative independence, like the '90s OVA' sensibility that they're cultivating and I'm a damned sucker for girls with guns. I hope that it's quality validates the contributions.

I'm in this for $60 and there's an outside chance that I'll throw $55 on for that hardcover artbook or perhaps cheap out by adding $25 for the script. Although I could get a half dozen challenge coins for $5 more.

To bad there are no stickers or postcards though.

I've been wondering if some people feel a little threatened by anime that is funded outside of the production committee-otaku system because these campaigns usually emphasize breaking from the creative constraints that it imposes, but that have served their desires. (Not, however, that these are by any reasonable measure a real threat)

Yeah, there is no real threat.

"Hey western fans, now give us $2.5 million for a 12 episode series, sight unseen! Stretch to $3m for a better budget!"

This is why advertising and production committees exist, that much money would only cover the animation budgets, not all of the other associated fees or rewards fulfillment. Anime is just really expensive and I don't think these crowdfunds can ever be more than just for shorts or OVAs. Even if they did manage to get one series off the ground, it's now one series of thirty to forty late night shows in any given season.

I'm also glad it reached its goal because I thought they might've invested more money than they would make.
