I've heard great things about this series and this review has convinced me to finally watch it.

First off: Love Lab is not yuri. |
I have tried on two separate occasions to change that erroneous info (yuri and harem themes) on the ANN encyclopedia page, one time in which I actually got word from one of the encyclopedia mods/editors that he would change it itself. But I see that info is still on there.
Thank you for setting the record straight so bluntly. So many people have the wrong idea (and Zac's preview of the first episode in last season's guide didn't help any) about this series, and they really shouldn't. This show was easily my favorite show last season. Consistently funny and I love how much it broke genre-convention when it comes to both 4koma adaptations (they usually don't have such strict continuity) and of course inserting male love interests in what was thought to be yet another cute-girls-doing-cute-things show with yuri undertones..

I agree! Great show, great flow, and great cast!
The continuity of the story is truly amazing! It is probably the best 4-Koma adaptation, in terms of the flow of the story, that I have ever seen. (However, I read a couple of chapters of the manga and it has the same type of story flow, so it isn't that big of a surprise, it is just well written.)
The one episode that didn't have that feeling of continuity even acknowledged that when it came to the preview for the next episode. The first thing said in the preview was "Now that the short stories are done..." I nearly fell off my chair. Here I had spent the entire episode thinking... Ah! The 4-koma nature of the material has finally shown up... Then they acknowledge it and pretty much say, "Done with that! Now on with the story!" Brilliant!

I really love this title. And Carl gives it the review it deserves. If you like anime comedy you won't be wasting your time giving this one a spin.

Very nice review. I thought the final arc was worthwhile, although it might not have been supported by the rest of the series well enough. I do agree that in general Love Lab was a better comedy than drama. I was pleased to see mention of the fantastic physical humour. The animation, attention to character and voice acting made Riko's ojou-sama routine way funnier than it had any right to be.

Love Lab is one of my recent favorites as well. Great visuals and all around loveable characters. So many GIF-able moments.
One of the little things that I thought was great was how Riko's hairdo changed constantly. It is something that I have only seen in a few anime (Lovecom being another example) and I always love it. I'm weird like that I guess

I am really happy this show made it to be streamed. It got lots of laughs from me. Overall it was a enjoyable watch that was in no way close to being Yuri.

I'm watching this show right now and I actually kind of like that it departs from the "wacky characters talking in a room" gag anime formula and sometimes turns into something more like a shoujo romantic comedy...but I can't deny that the "wackiness in a room" parts are by far the funniest.

Way funnier than I expected. Definitely worth checking out the first couple of episodes to see if its something you'd might like. Typical but not so typical school girl anime.

I think it's a little unfair to say "apparent yuri undertones are misleading." It never tries to have yuri undertones. It's people wishing it to be yuri and finding out it isn't putting the blame on the show. It never tries to give the impression that it's yuri so to call that misleading really means you were disappointed that it wasn't.
I would have liked some yuri-ness but the show never tried to imply it so I enjoyed it for what it is - a great comedy about high school girls trying to figure out how to get boyfriends.
