I take it that this will only cover the Dark Kingdom arc?

These better be some top quality episodes if it's playing twice a month.

I expect animation quality and action that will make my heart palpitate and plot that does complete or almost complete justice to the manga. Toei, disappointment is not an option, I hope you do everything to get things up the worlds' expectations. I expect nothing short of AAA tier or higher quality episodes at least 90% of the time.

Is this really going to stream only on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month, or simply every 2 weeks. The former would result in a 13 month run, while the latter would wrap the series nicely in one year.

In any case, we'll find out for certain the month after premiere, as August has 5 Saturdays.

Well, it had better have top tier animation since they're being given twice the normal time to produce it.

Really curious to know what material they'll cover in 26 épisodes.
I feel a little disappointed as I'd have prefered a 52 episodes course, but I won't complain because I'm sure it'll be great!
And they'd still be able to give us a season 2 in a near future.

I hope Sailor Moon CrystalS is after that... Hahaha.
If I don't get to see the entire manga adapted into anime loyally, I'll be a very sad bunny. Sad

Hmm, this means it'll take 13 months or so for the show to air and I'm guessing these 26 episodes will only cover the Dark Kingdom arc. If they do the other 4 arcs at this pace it'll take Toei 5+ years to do the entire manga story line.

As much as I wish (and hope!) all five arcs will get animated, from a business perspective I feel like it's unlikely. That's 5 years worth of time and money Toei could be investing in new titles instead of a title that's 20+ years old. Confused

Hmmm... I'm thinking maybe the arcs will be adapted into 5-episode or 6-episode parts. If Toei does 5 episodes per arc, then they can cover the entire manga in 25 episodes w/ the 26th episode adapting either "Codename: Sailor V" or one of Takeuchi's Sailor Moon short stories, like "Parallel Sailor Moon". Smile

I just checked the Manga Listing. If they do the one chapter per episode it will end on a good spot: The End of the Black Moon Arc.

So unless there's filler I don't mind too much... I still want to see everything done, but beggers can't be choosers in this case...

Aww, man. Does this mean it'll be like PGSM (the live action series) and cover only the first season?

Hope they'll do the other seasons since the original was a surprise hit and that's what made them produce R, etc. (Naoko was going to end it after the Dark Kingdom manga arc.)

Five episodes, even 30 minutes long each, is a bit too much on the short side.
Unless they plan on extending a la PGSM, 1+2 is probably what's gonna happen.

Hmmm. It took 46 episodes to do it back in 1992. 25 sounds like it's been edited down quite a bit.

65 chapters in 26 episodes doesn't seem all that off to me.
