There's a minor typo in the article. The correct romaji is akai umi no yobigoe.
Anyway, I've played and completed all three games (not with all the archives/documents, though), and they're really fun. Viscerally terrifying, no tricks, just realistic survival horror.
That said, I think the manga's a LOT behind the curve. It should've been out half a decade ago.

The game was also adapted into a Japanese live action movie entitled: "Forbidden Siren."
Can't wait to see how the manga fairs, the game was quite thrilling to play, and the live action movie was pretty decent haha

This is the second Siren manga series. The first ran prior to Blood Curse's release. This one is just meant to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the property.

Ah, that makes a lot more sense. I've seen the movie, and it's more of a psychological thriller than a zombie slaughterfest (which is better, in my view).
