I remember this comic, but not for good reasons.

Good luck to them anyway.

Same here...

Wonder if they'll make it. 125,000 is a rather lofty goal.

Good luck, though.

Remember when Tokyopop published mediocre-to-terrible original comics to try to save on licensing costs?

ANN remembers.

Thanks for reminding me of that review. I enjoyed rereading it.

I wonder if her art and storytelling have improved with time. Volume 8 was released back in 2012.

THEIR FINAL STRETCH-GOAL IS ONE MILLION DOLLARS ARE THEY FOR REAL?!
omg, I'm gonna be a jerk, but the series was never popular nor had the quality to be asking for so much money! This is giving me second hand embarrassment.

I remember Bizenghast being really popular with the middle school crowd, myself included. I think it still holds up, though I never got around to reading the last volume. I hope they reach their goal and that Alice LeGrow can work on Bizenghast related things for as long as she wants (forever?? forever).

Yey! Such big names, creating an awesome game (possibly), based on a cool (though not great) original work...

So much STARZ!!

Soooo, why do they need US to fund them!?
I bet they got plenty of money from Transilvania, Alice etc.?

With so many artists who actually cannot make it themselves on Kickstarter, I'd rather leave these fund it themselves.

Naturally, I'm not interested in dining with these same STARZ.

And yes, I registered only to say this.

Wow, I remember my best friend loved the series when we were in high school. She lent me some of the volumes and I didn't like it at all. It seemed like it was trying too hard to channel Tim Burton.
