Hoping the 2nd season covers more glimpses of their childhood. *thumbs up*

My babies are going to middle school!
And new characters are 'mostly boys'. I love you Kyoani!

Just what I hoped! I really enjoyed the first LN, so I'll absolutely be buying the second one.

I an honestly stunned that this series is written by a man. He has to be a Fudanshi. He just has to. Either that or a woman writing under a pseudonym.

yes and no. If its glimpses, then okay. If the 2nd season is set in middle school, then that'll be the asspull of the year award nominee

I doubt that they would go so far as to set the series in middle school, but if they did, I certainly wouldn't mind. The idea of Makoto and Haru's middle school years is one of the aspects of the series I find most interesting, so, like I said earlier, I'm very happy with this development as far as the LNs go.
Heck, if he wants to go the Chu2 route and make the LNs take a different route than the anime chose, that's fine, too!

I always thought they were the same age and in the same grade. It would make sense that Nagisa is the smallest team member if he's younger than the rest of them.

You're surprised that a man's writing a shounen series? Okay, then.

Lol, okay.
Anyway, I too am excited for the new book, and I can't wait to see these new male characters. It'd be great if they would maybe appear in season 2. Also can't wait to see Makoto and Haruka's middle school life.
Also, there's no mention of the author's gender. Why are we saying they're male?

Pretty sure Kouji can be a man's name. I'm pretty sure I read a translated Japanese review of the first novel (translation by one of the members of this forum, even) that said the author was male.

Nagisa and Rei and Gou are first-years, Haru and Makoto and Rin are second-years. Haru is the oldest, then Makoto, then Rin.
How did you miss that Nagisa wasn't the same age as them? He and Rei are in the same class and their uniforms are even different from the second-years'.
