Wow, very interesting to read. Would love to see a Japanese dub trailer for the game. Smile

I wonder if Tessho Genda is playing Batman again?

Edit: Doesn't sound like him in the trailer.... although the two trailers seem to have been dubbed by different casts.

That sounds like a pain to keep track of all those voices.

Most of these voice actors have brilliant range. Definitely sounds possible for these guys. On the other hand, the movie itself doesn't seem very interesting aside from the fact that there are Lego people in it.

Wait, Lord Business is the antagonist? Kind of ridiculous when you take a look at the costs of Lego sets, even before they become "Collector's items"

I find it amusing the first trailer had the main character sound like a little kid and in the second trailer (which I'm assuming is the official dub) he has a more adult voice.

That's one helluva to save cost, or there's some Japanese Mel Blanc amongst them. Laughing

I own $25,000 worth of Lego, which averages out to be more than $1,000 for every year since I was born. I can't wait to see the Lego movie, since I'm apart of the adult collectors' community I can appreciate what the company has done to appeal to both children and adults alike. Honestly, as a huge fan of anime, if I didn't spend so much money on Lego I would probably have my shelves filled with Otaku-crapola. I guess what those two hobbies really have in common is that both seem determined to suck my wallet empty.

I am suspecting the longer trailer is the official voice for Emmet... please tell me I'm wrong. Why would they change it anyway?

Hey, a lot of the classic Japanese cartoons that came over here before the 80's often had very small cast of actors too.

Why don't they just use Japanese subs? It sounds terrible like this. Not to mention, I'm sure some wackos will actually say that it sounds better than the original English version. Rolling Eyes

Who knows why movie studios make these decisions at all, I'm sure it's the same elsewhere in the world unless Europeans get a choice at the cinemas.
