I've never read the book, but this definitely looks like something I'd go to the theater for, being a Summer tent-pole. I love that sci-fi action films are really big again, some even with small bits of philosophy or thinking attached to them! Depending on how the RoboCop remake goes, it could be even better than 2013.

Yeah, as I said before, unlike the other adaptations of Japanese source material, this one actually made sense, because it's very Western in concept and execution. [Unless you wanna count the whole reincarnation angle, of course.] And now it's paying off. Can't wait for it.

I've read the book, and this trailer makes it pretty clear that this is only loosely inspired by the source material. It looks alright though, as far as action sci-fi movies go.

Agreed, it's great seeing a lot of sci-fi action movies again
Looking forward to this, looks good.
