I've been curious about this title for a while now. I'll have to check it out.

I've never heard of this. Though it's a modern planned release that isn't either a softcore pr0n or an obviously mediocre series, and it's by Sentai, so I'm intrigued.
However, it is a J-movie, and with limited exception I've found the J-movies I've seen to blow, to be crude. So my first question is: Is this franchise any good? If it is any good, I'm going to have to "double-dip" and buy the DVD and the subsequent blu-ray. Luckily the anime fund won't notice that hit, and I'll still have the money floating around for Spice & Wolf 2, Strawberry Panic, and Darker than Black 2, should they ever make it out of licensing purgatory and onto my online retailers of choice. The titles sound like events in an ICE, so what will the next one be called (should there be one) The Third Exhaust? The title also makes me think back to Heat Guy J for some reason(s)... |

So..... is this good news?
I have heard absolutely nothing about these movies and I think I would have if it was any good. |

I suppose I could investigate the series in Japanese, but I'd prefer to wait for the English dub, especially a Sentai English dub I watched Appleseed in Japanese and found it incredibly boring and banal, but when I watched it in English, it was almost halfway decent. It also didn't put me to sleep like the J-dubs did. Same thing happened with Patlabor the Movie(s). Though I suppose there's hope for the J-dub IMO, as Miyazaki & Kara no Kyoukai were pretty good in J-dub form. |

Really like the promotional art, and kind of reminds me off Battle Angel Alita, but the story either sounds really gritty or just another "abused girl turned assassins" cliché story line.

The book that there are based on (which is available in English) is really good, so I might get this, just to see how it compares.

I remember this title! They showed it at NYAF/NY Comic-Con and, if memory serves me correctly, it got really shafted in the scheduling department because they showed the film around the same time as the Gundam 00 movie and the Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya film. I'm glad to see it get a real chance in this release.

Good for Sentai, they've been doing great stuff lately. I was interested in this, so I'll definately be checking it out!

I got the chance to see this at NYAF and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is unfortunate that so little is known about this property, because it really does have the potential to be a hit. If you are interested in it and don't know a lot...check out these links /shameless self-plug.

It's the ambition surrounding this trilogy that intrigues me. In fact, I'm quite thrilled that a lot of anime films lately have strived to achieve something bigger than they might be able to actually execute (I'm REALLY curious about Redline and Disappearance of Haruhi). Some of them may come close, some may miss badly, but I'd take an ambitious failure over a generic success any day of the week.

Will be patiently awaiting the Blu-Ray in 2012! Adored the book and really looking forward to the movie series!
