Im going to be honest and say im finding it very hard to care about the next generation. When Kingdom HEarts 3 comes out I will give in, but probably not till then.

That Knack head looks more like Ganondorf than the polygon head thing.

In view of a certain political quagmire, there would be a most delightful sense of irony if one of the game's events takes place on Rainbow Road.

I agree, though I even still need to finish Birth by Sleep properly & play the couple games that came after it.
I think my heart is going to stop beating if Gods Eater 2 doesn't get a localisation. Time to start petitioning Xseed!

I would argue that Resistance was not at all an unremarkable game. Personally, the thing blew me away, and there were several moments that reminded me I was playing on a new console, with new tricks up its sleeve that my old systems simply weren't capable of. Watching an army of parasites engulf the face of a building I thought to be safe, or barreling through the hills in a jeep as I ran over Chimera... Resistance was fantastic on all fronts, in my opinion, and while the games after it were pretty bland for the most part (except for 3), the first one is a testament on how to do the obligatory launch shooter right.
But hey, that's just me as a biased game critic talking, I guess...

In Knack, do you have to guide the puppet to his long lost love, Sharona?

God Eater 2: I still haven't finished the first God Eater yet (can't seem to get good upgrades for my character fast enough). This should be localized for the Vita. I hope they're not passing it up because they think Monster Hunter is a better series (lol no). Besides, Soma, Alisa and Lindow also appeared in Project X Zone and that's enough to stoke the God Eater flames if you ask me.
Wii mini: Who are they seriously kidding here? I know it's basically a budget Wii, but it's too late to make any difference now.
PlayStation 4:
Quote: | Annoyances persist all the same. Unlike the PlayStation 3's network, the PlayStation 4's requires a PlayStation Plus subscription to play online, though you can run Hulu and Netflix without a Plus account. The PS4 also isn't compatible with games from any previous PlayStations, though Sony plans on making PlayStation 3 games accessible through a Gaikai streaming service next year. |
Why am I not surprised?
Knack: Anyone notice that Knack kind of looks like Koopa Kid (from Mario Party) when he's small and Bowser when he's huge? XD
Mario and Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Winter Games:
Quote: | ...while the figure skating now allows characters to skate in pairs—which makes for some preposterous combinations. |
Couldn't be any more preposterous than the Power Rangers teaming up with the Ninja Turtles. Peach skating with Vector and making a horrible fan fiction of the pairing is tame by comparison. XD

It should also be noted that any Free to Play online games on PS4 won't require PS+ either. So even if you refuse to pay there are still online gaming options.

That BlazBlue LE looks REALLY tempting, I think that's a guaranteed purchase when it comes out in March.

If it wasn't for a few of my friends talking about it on Facebook I would have forgotten that both Xbox One and PS4 are released soon. Since I don't watch TV and have been playing Pokemon Y of course.
I have yet to see one game that will make me buy any of them on launch day. I can just wait until the price goes down for the PS4 (I refuse to buy the XBox One after they made that rape joke) as it will be a couple of years before anything good comes out on it to begin with or they do something stupid and revise the system a year after launch. Hence, I was semi-forced to buy a PS3 a year after launch because they took out support for the PS2 in it.

And neither does FFXIV, for that matter.
Also PS+ is like 5$ a month.

I had the PS4 launch edition pre-ordered, with Killzone and Knack.
Then I canceled it when I realized I didn't particularly care (maybe a little bit because X Rebirth is coming out on the same day, and I am way more excited for that).
I'll buy a PS4 once a game comes out for it I just MUST have.

See, that's what I thought too! I had to stretch to see Polygon Man, but Ganondorf? It's impossible not to see that, I saw the pic before I read and thought it was some strange next gen Zelda Ganon thing at first glance.

That is the problem with the next gens; they seem to have a tough time justifying why they're being released. For the Wii U it WAS understandable, but with the PS4 and XB1 I just can't see why they exist when we could have gotten a few years out of their predecessors without issue.

This is the longest generation of the modern 3D gaming era. The 360 launched in 2005, and the PS3 in 2006. Just because you personally might not be wanting to upgrade, doesn't mean it's not the time.
