Ok, lets face it. Anime video games suck. Not all but 90% of them are just terrible. The recent anime based video games like FMA 1+2 are...well... mediocre to say the least. Now granted there are a few out there that are pretty good like the Naruto series but other than that, there aren't many that have scored well in magazines, gaming websites, etc. You would think that since you loved the anime, you would love the game just because your playing the characters that you loved throughout the series in their world through the game. But no. Lots of these games have failed to capitilize on the gameplay and the story that the anime itself represents. Personally I am dissapointed in the laziness of game developers thinking that if its a video game based on FMA than the anime fans will buy it. Now I have nothing personal against FMA, I just think its a good example. Another example is the game Ghost In the Shell Stand Alone Complex. Um...... yeah that game was a terrible mess. I think that if game developers like Square-Enix actually took as much time in their anime titles as they did with their other series like Final Fantasy, it could make anime more mainstream. Now I know thats unrealistic just cause FF is square biggest title, but I dont think its impossible. I don't know about you guys but im tired of half-assed anime based video games!
