Well it sounds like they just started investigating him because of the "Anime Porn", but he's actually in trouble because it turned out he had actual child porn. Unless I'm reading it wrong.

I always believed that a wife and husband were not allowed to speak out against each other in court. How were the cops able to get a search warrant? The real issue is that he had real child porn that was found latter which is sick.

She's not allowed to testify against him "in court." That doesn't mean she can't call the cops on him, and she can also give them permission to go through all his stuff since it's technically hers as well as long as they are married. She won't be able to take the stand as a witness against him, but it appears she gave them access to enough evidence that she won't be needed for testimony anyway. |

You can't unless you want to. you can't be forced by the cops, but you can renounce to your "right to stay silent". that's what I understood from "Law and Order"

You are allowed to testify against your spouse, it happens all the time, it is just that they can't force you to testify against your spouse.

I dunno, the wording is pretty vague in both articles. Was he nicked because of the Anime Porn, or did the police find actual REAL images of 4-5 year old kiddie porn? It's abit confusing. |

That's what I thought it meant in the "follow up" part, but it doesn't really say whether or not it was photos or anime/manga. |

from what I can piece together from his last name
it seems to me a white girl married a rich middle eastern dude who was here for college and now she is finding a reason to divorce him and try and take some money since they are 24 I guess they were married a year? maybe two? however, for legal implications, they better have found real photos BEFORE just the anime stuff, becuase that may not hold up in court as a valid reason to search and seizure since it is legal, at least for now. |

I thought it meant he had anime porn that had child characters in it, although it's always lovely to see people who think that an entire medium is devoted to just sex.

I read the source article linked to, and it does specify that they were 15 photographs, not drawings:
