Happy now? I know fans have been clamoring for the second season for quite some time. Laughing

Too bad it'll be sub-only.

Excellent news Anime smile

Sub only is fine with me, that's how I prefer it anyhow. I'm glad we'll finally get the second half of this great show, and hopefully it'll live up to the hype. Preordered mine already!

Right Stuf continues to do good things. My only question is when will we see To Heart dvds...

Edit: I actually read the panel report (duh) and it says they're still working on To Heart as well. Hopefully that'll happen soon!

OMG I CANT B-LIEVE DIS!! I guess this means I don't have to worry about my plans to launch a joint fansub project for it Smile *hastens to rightstuf.com to pre-order* Though it's a shame there won't be a dub, since all the "Valley Girl" and other slang used in the first half was so great.
EDIT: Lack of a dub is not a deal-breaker for me -- I'm sure that there's some sort of financial reason for it -- maybe TRSI had to pay high licensing fees because due to the non-existance of Japanese R2 DVDs, this boxed set is going to be reverse-imported to kingdom come. I'm extremely glad to be able to see it in any format, and I would have imported R2 DVDs if they existed or simply found raws of it. Besides, there's no way we'd be getting 26 episodes for under $50 on an initial release if it were dual-language; this proves there's a silver lining for everything Smile

This news made my week. So happy that I will finally be able to finish this show. I had almost given up hope, since ADV has said nothing on the series since releasing volume 6 2+ years ago.

As for dub only, who cares. Take what you can get.

I do, as do many, many other folks that enjoyed the English dub of the show and clamored for Season 2 with the English cast.

I'd rather leave it than get it Japanese only. I'm sure lots of others agree with me.

I am very disappointed that there is no dub (as the ADV's dub of the original season is one of the best in my opinion), but that won't stop me from getting it. It is better than nothing at all, of course, and I've got sub-only releases before when the show is great (as with other absolute favorites like Cardcaptor Sakura and Magical Project S)

I would rather see a cheap subbed version like Rightstuf are releasing than no version at all.

I guess you pretend this release never happened...

Well then don't buy it, simple as that. As for me I went ahead and pre-ordered my copy. I've been waiting over 2 years for this so I didn't hesitate in purchasing the series. Hell I would have paid a lot more for it.

That's a bit of the problem. A lot of people were clamouring for a release of season 2, and now they have it, and it's uncut and subtitled and yet.... no, they're not buying it.

If something is made available to you this cheap, when there is no DVD release even in Japan, and there have already been proven problems in regards to this moving in stores, and it's something the Internet has been very keen on getting, to simply go 'oh, no english dub, no sale' is a bit silly. I mean it is your money, but I still believe that if you've been watching anime, and you even post here, there's a good chance you have been watching, or did, at some point, watch anime with subtitles.

Then again, there's always the possibility that there are people who'll not buy something without a dub simply to spite others, but thats another barrel of.. barrel, stuff.

I'm very pleased for sure. And sub-only is perfectly acceptable. The only thing I liked about the dub was Luci Christian's performance anyway. The wait is nearly over!

OMG, I LOVE YOU, RIGHTSTUF!!! *throws kisses*

Hehe, now that I've calmed down, it does kind of worry me that people are already complaining about the lack of a dub. I mean, come on, ADV had been saying time and time again that they weren't planning to bring the series over due to this and that, etc.- so what did you expect? Considering that the Japanese don't even have this on DVD, I feel pretty darn lucky that I'll be able to get my hands on Gals season 2 soon (who else bets that at least one obsessive Japanese fanboy is going to be importing the DVDs from America just to complete his collection? Anime smallmouth )
