No I haven't but three dollars is a pretty good deal for an anime DVD. I wonder why they had it.

I've seen a number of things like that actually. The safeway I used to go to sold precisely one manga at any given time. There was one manga always stuck in with all the novels. Hell, last week I found a FLCL DVD just sitting on a bench in a park by my house. Too bad it had a scratch that makes my DVD player crash at a certain point

I've seen random anime VHS tapes and DVDs at Salvation army for a quarter each. They usually only have Gundam Wing and hentai-looking stuff.

Here my post from earlier in April when I happen to come across anime in a strange place.
Anyways that is my story, it was pretty bizzare. Although I did buy my original NGE (Perfect collection) DVD from a cellphone store. That was weird. Till next time, Delta Kiral |

This is actually a pretty common phenomenon. Big Lots here in the Seattle area often carry random Bandai titles as well for $3.99.
You can track what other people have found at both places, and find some other good deals at DVD Talk's Anime Bargains thread. |

The Dollar General near where I live has been having a few anime DVDs for $3 too. It makes me happy, and I really hope they get more of them. I had bought some Sailor Moon DVDs there before, but I never thought they'd get anime I'd be more interested in. (I just buy Sailor Moon DVDs when I find them that cheap 'cause it gives me something to watch. I'm not near as much into it as I was when I was younger.) But somewhat recently, I bought Scrapped Princess vol. 1 and Arjuna vol. 2. Since they only had random DVDs, they didn't have vol. 1 of Arjuna, but I bought it anyway since it was only $3 and I was kinda wanting to see it. It's better than paying $25-$30 for the whole set and not knowing if I'll like it.

A garage sale near where I live was selling a (legitimate) Ai Yori Aoshi DVD for $5. It was an R2 DVD and I couldn't understand much of it at the time, but I'd say it was a pretty good deal.

R2 for $5? Either the seller is moving out of town in a rush, or s/he knows nothing how precious it could be. |

Nope. No I haven't. I never saw one in a store that has em (except this one mall. I just don't remember the name).

I found a lot of anime titles at Big Lots. They get all that buy out stuff. I suppose when Media Play closed they got it. I bought a Lupin dvd with the figure of Jigen for 3.99 and Submarine 707 Revolution the movie. My friend bought some Galaxy Angels and Hacks. Once in a while I do come across some special finds.

This was all at a Big Lots? I wonder if that same stuf can be found at other Big Lots stores or if its just something unique to your neck of the woods. |

Pretty lucky to find those tiltles at Big Lots. We have 2 Big Lots in Erie. They both had different titles available at each location. If you have one of those stores around your town just check it out,you might get lucky! I will check out the local dollar store now after I read the other comments. Why not.

I don't think they were bootlegs, if they were then they are really good at copying the box exactly but hey I've seen bootlegs where the only way to know is that the booklets staples are on the inside going out instead of the otherway. I have a big lots in the next big city too me ill check there and report later |
