Hasn't been released in the States yet. Funimation has the license, I believe. Watch for the release date announcement here at ANN (it will probably happen during one of the upcomming conventions). Also keep on eye on Right Stuf International. They're pretty good at keeping their web catalog updated.

Funimation has acquired the third season of Full Metal Panic. Volume 1 of Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid will be released October 3. ADV Films released the previous seasons of FMP. |

October 3rd? Huh...I wonder why Right Stuf hasn't put that on their web catalog yet. Usually they are pretty good about having stuff listed fairly far in advance.

Damn that some quick turn around time. Gonna hand it Funimation on this one there making it happen and quick. So Why do you have to take so long for Trinity Blood and Speed Grapher! Oh well I guess we'll never know.
Till next time,

Because FUNi's not taking orders for it yet.

I agree, this is fast, especially considering that they announced the Tsubasa Chronicle license back in January and we still haven't heard any street date for that series.

Tsubasa Chronicle is the one I'm REALLY waiting for! And you're right, if Funi announced the acquirement of FMP!:TSR in May with a release date of October, why haven't we gotten a release date for TC?
And they wonder why we get frustrated and have flaming sessions on these forums.

probably because FMP! is a higher profile release in the states than Tsubasa Chronicle. FMP! is essentially guaranteed to sell a healthy number of DVDs where as Tsubasa Chronicles not so much. The higher the forseen profit the quicker the turnover i presume.

Because FUNi hasn't offically announced the street date for Second Raid yet. October 3 is a tentative street date. I don't know how (or where) ANN got the information that FUNi established October 3 as the street date considering that it's not even listed on both the ANN Releases page or the Anime on DVD Coming Soon page. That leads me to believe that the October 3 street date is not official at this time.
As soon as I posted this statement, I checked both the upcoming releases pages on both ANN and AoD and discovered that none of the major licensors announced their October 2006 street schedule at this time. All I can say is be patient and they'll announce their October schedule soon.
