What an amazing honor and treat for whomever gets to view that concert.

It would be outstanding, if he could have a major US city run. I think it would do rather well in areas like New York and Los Angeles.

Alright, I've been waiting for a proper chance to see the master himself in concert, and now that I can both see my favorite composer and give money to help relief up North there's no reason to delay. As soon as tickets go on sale in 9 hours, I'm on it.
For anyone who doesn't have the chance to see Hisaishi in concert live, I highly recommend finding a copy of the Joe Hisaishi in Budokan dvd or blu-ray. The concert has songs from all his films with Miyazaki from Nausicaa to Ponyo, and with over 1000 people playing in the orchestra or in the various choirs it is truly an amazing experience. It is beyond a doubt my favorite dvd purchase of the past ten years. Just an amazing experience, even on a tv or computer screen.
