There have their own show on CN and they sing the Teen Titans song, but are they actually popular in Japan? Or were they some nobody singers that CN hired to promote anime and japanese like animation?

They were very popular in Japan for a while, had their own TV show if I recall correctly. Not as much now, but folks in Japan still know who they are.

wow. That article actually sounds like this person is someone who actually knows a lot about this subject
I've read articles in the newspaper about anime and they were very stereotyped (violence, sex, big hair, big eyes, etc.) |

I guess when you've peaked so high, there's nowhere else to go but down. Yeah....their albums haven't been reaching the Oricon top 10 nowadays, but they're still at their usual pace of dishing out anime theme songs and such. Let's see....last I recall, I believe they did some songs for Assobot, Gundam Seed, and even Pokemon. And they also recieved that one Japanese award for promoting Japanese culture internationally. So yeah, they're not as big as Ayu, SMAP, Orange Range etc. etc., but they're still around.... |
