ipgx came to japan or was it only in america and is bandai gonna release the first igpx in america on dvd?

According to this it was in Japan first, although not to long before. And apparently its ending next week (?)

Ummm, I'm not really sure, but I'll go ahead and say no since a Japanese cast isn't listed.

I think it was an american original. Also, I highly doubt there being a dvd of the original IGPX since every episode was like 5 minutes long.

When they were first showing the previews for it before IGPX came on toonami they said it was from the same studio that did Ghost in the Shell:SAC. that means the art is the same but the also said it was a "Toonami original", so the storyline would not be from Japan.

IIRC, IGPX is based on an old idea that Production IG had. Toonami just took it and made the concept in to what it is today. IGPX is an entirely co-production, taking clues from both Japanese and American cultures. It was supposed to premeire in Japan, but an actors' strike almost stopped it. I don't know if they got it out of the way before the American premeire.
