I don't know if you all think this is worth changing but I find it important to change the staff entries in Hikaru no Go because the wrong names are being used for the wrong roles.
Look at the credit list, then compare it with a Japanese one like this (Sorry if you can't read Japanese...) A bit of observation will yield the fact that somebody or another entered the credits for "Storyboard" (e-konte), as "Art". I find this highly misleading and inaccurate. Talk about "art" in this context and most people, I think, will think about either A. the background art or B. the character art (upon which I will shoot them). The storyboard does more than that: it roughly determines how much time is spent on a scene (besides providig a general laout and sometimes art) and thus dictates the mood and feel of the episode much more than just plain old background art. In an even more brilliant stroke it clearly appears that the credit for "Script" (kyakuhon) has been entered as "Storyboard". Well, perhaps they produce anime differently or something, and it's true the structure of a script can sometimes pretty much determine the storyboard, but it *isn't* a storyboard... If there's anyone out there as anal and annoing as me and with the powers to do something about it, please do. |

Thank you for pointing it out. I HATE it when people who know nothing about Japanese and/or nothing about anime production try to submit those information with a translation engine (e.g. BabelFish) alone, then we Encyclopedists have to clean up sh*t they left.
Kinda late today...I'll fix them tomorrow. |
