Just read the show description on the website and seems to have some Europe influences - Holland, Bellforrest, Renton. Looks like a nice show, have to check it out.

man what the hell is up with this? could they have picked a worse voice for Renton? i like Yuri Lowenthal and all, but it just kills the entire mood of the show.

So is it Yuri Lowenthal or Jonny Yong Bosch? Someone over at AoD was saying it was JYB, though I personally couldn't figure out who it was doing the lead (other than I'd heard them before). The only voice I really knew for sure was Holland's - it's kind of hard to miss Crispin Freeman IMO Wink.

I find the site actually a bit misleading, but I guess then again it's looking at the show from a different perspective, that's all...

More than European influences it has a lot of 60's-western-culture influence: Summer of Love and surfing and hippies and revolutions and so on. A lot of dance music (but more like modern trance). Boomboxes...

This is a favorite series. if the DVDs have something other than piss-yellow or boring-white text, I will buy them. It's all about style fitting the mood.

...and since it's NOT going to be anything different, I can safely keep watching Eureka 7 through other channels.

I am pretty sure it's Johnny Yong Bosch who voices Renton Thurston.
He sounds perfectly fine to me though, judging from the Trailer that is.

None, at least in the first season. The artistic style of the characters and their dress reminded me some of Cowboy Bebop, though without any obvious Faye.
I watched the first season fansub about a month ago, and blew through it in a couple of days. Once I got into it, I couldn't stop watching. I really think this series could become a minor classic.
