hello...

i would just like to put in my two cents about adv manga.

first of all, their website is the pits. you want to see something funny? go to their release schedule page.

next... has anyone heard about the progress of Gunslinger Girl? i know there are more than three volumes. is there any news... at all?

thirdly, yotsuba&! had better be continued. but of course there is no way to know, what with the site sucking as much as it is.

thanks!

ADV has shown they are incompetant in many ways, not updating their website is yet another piece of evidence.

From this Anime on DVD thread:

Volume 4 of Yotsubato! was released in Japan around August of 2005, so it'll take some time before ADV releases it in English (probably around Spring 2006). Since Yotsubato! is a monthly serialization in Japan, it takes about half a year for a new volume to be released. Azuma Kiyohiko's web site mentioned that volume 5 should be out in Japan in April of this year (and he quoted approximately 8 months as the gap between volumes). So if you're blaming ADV for the delays of the continuation of Yotsubato, hopefully this will change your opinion. But knowing that you two are die-hard ADV haters, my efforts will be in vain. I'm quite sure that there was another thread about this. ADV Manga isn't exactly great, but as long as they don't stop YOTSUBA&!, I'm very happy.

There was. Fortunately, our faithful moderator Nagisa locked it last night.

I suppose we can add a fourth cheer to that? This one's going nowhere fast.

Locked. And unless anyone is willing to discuss the pros and cons of ADV's manga line in a civil, intelligent manner, please don't anyone even bother making a round three.
