Sub-only BDs? You've got to be kidding...

I'm very disappointed, but I'll still get them anyways.

NISA doesn't got the money of say Funimation to dub anything right now. Maybe in a few years they might be able to do some dubs on a limited basis.

While I haven't seen either of these shows, it is good for the fans of these shows to be able to have a legal release of the shows they are fans of.

Not a fan of either show, but happy to see NIS America continue to show their presence in the North American anime market.

Awesome to see Katanagatari get a release over here. A definitive buy for me, bonus points too for the DVD+Blu-ray combo.

Katanagatari was probably my favorite show of 2010, but was kinda overlooked by most people sadly, so this release makes me especially happy.

Well, I'll add Arakawa to my shopping list, next to Angel Beats...Now if only Dennou Coil and Kobato would get licensed...

Shocked
Well, this is a pleasant surprise! I'm happy to see both of these get an American release. Geez, between this and yesterday's announcement of "Panty & Stocking" getting licensed, I don't think this week could get better.

I wonder if Arakawa will be dubbed? Well even if it's not, the fact NIS licensed the series, made it into Blu-Ray form and has bonuses makes me want it anyway.

Then again, I absolutely enjoyed every second of the first season, so it's I like this series either way. Would really like a dub, but the fact it's available on Blu-Ray makes it worth buying. Plus the bonuses it comes with.

Got to hand it to you NIS, you might have dropped the ball with Toradora, but the fact you licensed Arakawa and put in Blu-Ray is awesome. I've also been buying NIS games for several years (probably over a decade now) so this is great news.

But I still wonder, will either series be dubbed? I read the article about four times and it wasn't mentioned.

Katanagatari getting picked up, treated to a BD release, coming in NISA's nice ass packaging AND coming out in only 3 months is the best news of the year for me.

Don't care much for the other show though. I tried watching an episode and every joke/gag fell flat for me.

Odd how two people can think the same thing and yet have the exact opposite reaction. Very Happy I keep hoping that S23 will start releasing BDs of its sub-only shows.

Still, Katanagatari and a SHAFT show in the same announcement? Sweet! I don't even care that they'll be shipping in those horribly awkward boxes. I'll be putting in my Katanagatari order just as soon as TSRI get the okay to list it!

My brother showed me this. He told me to get Katanagatari for his birthday instead of Gurren Lagann. Anime hyper Very cool that they are releasing it on a Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack as well.
