Sorry if this seems like a stupid question but, is Haku a boy or a girl? In my opinion, he sounds like a girl but in the show they keep referring to him as "he". Also in one episode, it flashes back to when Naruto was talking to him in the woods or something and he was wearing a pink kimono. So, I'm rather confused...

Naruto thinks he's a girl, and calls him "sis"... but after their converstation Haku: And by the way... I'm a boy Naruto: WHAT? HE"S PRETTIER THAN SAKURA! I dunno why he's wearing a pink kimono... |

Haku's not gay, he simply makes everyone who sees him gay.

Haku has strong feelings for Zabuza, but whether they are sexual is unclear. I'm under the impression that it was more of an extreme loyalty than romantic/sexual feelings.

Like Orlando Bloom? I'm not sure whether Haku is gay or not, but there's definitely a NAMBLA vibe going on there. Might just be extreme loyalty though. |

I just saw a pic with the mask, and I realized I'd seen him before (haven't watched much Naruto). So I then looked for an image without it, thinking :he looks somewhat Kane/Jason-ish, don't know what the fuss is about". Then I saw this.
Wow . . . Y'now I'm not into the whole "he acts/looks effeminate so he must be gay" thing (even in Japanes anime), but with the expression and pink kimono-like outfit, I could see how people would think so. Holy schnikes. |

I post this response in the wrong thread. So stupid. Maybe he/she's transgendered. |

maybe in the Naruto world wearing pink doesn't automatically make you gay?
I think it's just to make Naruto think he's a girl rather than a femmy looking guy for the joke [s]besdies, it's not like kimonos are restricted to girls only[/s] actually i'm not sure about this.. can someone clear it up for me? |

That outfit IS very very girly, in or out of Naruto, in or out of Japanese culture.A guy could wear it, but not without facing the same cultural stigma as any American would.

Thanks for clearing that up for me guys (and girls).
When I saw the Zabusa and Haku part last night near the end I just had to ask this question. I thought something might have gone wrong in the translation partly due to the fact that I was very surprised YTV let that part actually be aired. That scene had sort of a gay undertone to it in my opinion, not that I have anything against it though. |

Haku is a boy, and I do not beleive that he is gay.
Like HitokiriShadow said, his feelings for Zabusa are more of strong loyalty than sexual attraction. I don't know how far into that bit Naruto is on TV right now, but it actually gets really interesting, the relationship between those Zabusa and Haku |

So Haku = Bridget? I was actually wondering this myself, as I managed to get distracted by another channel, and didn't see the "oh, I'm a boy" part. |
