Okay, well, for comedy/romance/schoolkids, my best recommendation would be Imadoki by Watase Yuu. It's quite different from the other Watase manga which has been released in English, since those have been more of her fantasy ones (though Absolute Boyfriend may fall in that genre too, I haven't read enough of it yet though to really say).
Imadoki is a really cute little story about a young, happy, middle-class country girl who ends up going to this elitist high school in Tokyo and tries to make friends (and of course, falls into a lovely Watase love triangle, though as always it's clear who will end up with whom).

For the romance/comedy manga I would have to recommend Hana Kimi, Beauty is the Beast, Ouran High School Host Club, and definately Happy Hustle High. All those I really like and I hope you can find some good one of your own!!!! If you happen to find a good one please let me know.

If you want Comedy Romance the best choice that I would say is Love Hina its 14 deep and pretty intersting. And as a side note it has lots of fan service if your a addict to that sort of thing

I highly recommend GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka) the protagonist is actually a badass teacher who deals with his problematic class, the series falls under drama/comedy and it deals with a lot of serious issues among today's students like bullying, drug addiction, romantic relationships between teachers and their students...etc
Hana-Kimi: a cute story about a girl who dresses up as a boy and attends an all male school to meet her idol.
Kare Kano: one of the most realistic and deep high school dramas out there, the two main characters' backgrounds are pretty interesting.

I would recommend for Comedy/Romance DNAngel which is a about a kid named Daisuke Niwa is an ordinary middle school student with an extraordinary genetic "condition". Next I would recommend Ai Yori Aoshi which deals with a guy named Karou Hanabishi and his relationship with a long lost friend. Finally I would recommend Fruitsbasket which is about a family with an ancient curse and an orphan girl who will change their lives forever.
