Do you mean a Canadian television company that shows anime or one that licenses and sells DVDs?

North America licenses are for Region 1 dvd players. Most companies license for canada, and america. Though most stores don't want to supply anime.

It's hard to import into canada, without customs on you.

yugi, what do you mean when you write "most stores don't want to supply anime?"

ok but what if a canadian company buys licenses in japan then do theire own subing ang packaging and then distribute theire own dvd s
is there any companys doing so at the moment Question

No, there aren't. To my knowledge all of the major companies operate out of the US, although some of them use dubbing studios in Canada.

is that wy the prices are so high
is that also wy it take a long time before geting some series from japan even if they are not holding them at the source Question

No, it's because the American companies don't know how to do
Canadian distribution properly.

I share your pain...

And unfortunately, this problem is even worse in Quebec... considering that few animes are dubbed (or even subbed) in french... if, by chance, you live near a "china town", you might be in luck!

Or you could just settle for the few animes shown on YTV... (theres a small line-up of anime on fridays... not the best, but it's better than nothing...)
