It's probably not unusual for Production I.G. to be involved with animations for a game, but the fact that Sega's last news about TMS becoming part of Sega, makes this animation seem odd.
According to Mana who owns Animal Trail(A SonicFan site), a Sonic Riders animation produced possibly for the game, was animated by Production I.G. The information was released in a magazine done by Production I.G. She'll be getting more information on this tomorrow once she obtains the magazine in question. So hopefully we'll find out more of what's going on with this. For anyone that wishes to read the diary entry, please head here. EDIT: One last thing.
