Your favourite song from an anime

What is your favourite anime theme song or song from the soundtrack?

My personal favourite is Thantos - If I Can't Be Yours on the Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death and Rebirth final credits. This is because the song added such emotion to the ending of the movie that it was so...oh man words cannot describe it. The song was intense yet flowed so smoothly and left a suspenseful tension and then dispelled it immediately.

The energy and vibe it gave off was incredible. Though I can't understand Japanese the song moved me in a way that I cannot describe which makes it my personal choice.

Have you heard similar songs or have the same feeling toward other ones?

I would say mine was "We Will Win" From Robotech. At the time of the battle seen on episode "Force of Arms" it went extremely well at the time. Because most people in the show were almost positive that they weren't going to live. But of course there was a small portion of hope and that song reflected off that hope I think. Though I think it was sung better by Michael Bradly, Reba West did an okay job with it.

Though I got many favorites one song that touches me is 'Yakusoku' in Love Hina. Performed by a great singer Yui Horie the music and her soft tone makes it a beautiful touching song. The song itself is played in the anime series in the last episode and is a great piece for where it contributes.

My favorite song from an anime is Cruel Angel's Thesis from Evangelion.first time i heard the song i fell in love with the song,
it has a nice flow to it and a good song to get the viewer hyped
up for an Evangelion.i also like the version of the song that was
done by San Nin.

I'm gonna have to go agree with Joe anime.
Cruel Angel's Thesis from Neon Genesis Evangelion is a great song to start an anime. I've heard the song hundreds of times and it can still give me goose bumps.
My other fav song of all time is Hitori no yoru, the opening song from the second half or so of Great Teacher Onizuka. Gotta love that song Very Happy
