The series has been running on and off for years on adult swim and I'm wondering if it's almost over. Supposively Inuyasha is near Naraku. Is there Inuyasha after Naraku?

It'll probably be played way more than Bebop was and still is once they finish all the episodes.

Okay, I couldn't understand that? It'll be played way more than Bebop WAS and still is? WTF? Bebop is still on AS during the week and Inuyasha is still on because... IT'S NOT DONE YET.

Inuyasha is like 167 episodes. If its still popular they'll rerun it as much as they can like Dragonball Z.

Bebop has been way overplayed and is still(The still is refers to Bebop) being played. That post means that they'll play Inuyasha like they are doing with Bebop and run it for years.

Right now we are at episode 120 something. The series itself has 160 odd number episodes. So, I give it til about the start of next school year, completely assuming they don't take breaks from airing new episodes, and they don't start showing re-runs, like they usually do.

I'm not sure if Inuyasha will get as much replay as Cowboy Bebop. I remember seeing an Adult Swim bump where they said that their favorite anime was Fooly Cooly and Cowboy Bebop. On top of that, Cowboy Bebop was the very first anime on Adult Swim back when it was just Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, and The Brack Show. Inuyasha does pull in the ratings though. That's gotta be why they've kept it on (I know about the episode count too. They cut Pilot Candidate before that finished.) I think that the crew of Adult Swim just respects Cowboy Bebop more. And FLCL. When FLCL first aired, they got the largest ratings pull than ever before. Even currently, they haven't matched those ratings. At least in the Action area.

Keep in mind you're comparing 26 episodes to 167 (and possibly more). If InuYasha got as much play as Bebob, it'd still be playing in 2012. Point is, Bebop has been played between 8-10 times, Dogboy & Friends isn't over yet.

I don't know what you're talking about. They showed all 12 episodes of that. Then they replayed it, and I'm not sure if they stopped at episode 8-10 or if they actually finished a second run, since it was like 3 years ago. Then it was never aired again because no one (except like 3 people) apparently liked it. Sad

As for Inuyasha, I fully expect it to be run during their weekday lineup in its completion a few times, especially if it really is comparable to Dragonball in popularity. And if they get better rated shows they'd rather rerun, they could always bump Inuyasha down to their 5am part of their block where Lupin & Case Closed have lived on until like a week ago when they were replaced. Unless that part is reserved solely for rejected series or something. Confused

Damn is it that bad? Well I'm not too fond of the TV series I think it's boring with way too many useless episodes. Probably would have made an AWESOME 26 episode anime. I'm more fond of the movies but I just want the TV series to end so they could finally show something else.

That's correct.

I realize each season of the series has it's share of filler episodes, but for some reason I thought the current season made a point of using spoiler[the Band of Seven] storyline itself as a vehicle for filler episodes. I was fine with this development after 3 episodes, but then it got to be too annoying for me. Now I can't wait for that to end so InuYasha and Kagome could call out to each other again.
