The PSS system, also recently revealed, allows you to make acquaintances and, through multiple interactions, turn them into your friends. Possibly the best part, though, is this photo of the PSS system, which subsequentally proves customization for the trainer is truly extensive!
From the sounds of it, you will be able to customize skin color and hair color (and possibly hair style) at the very beginning of the game. Clothes and accessories will be earned and bought or acquired through the game itself. Which, in my opinion, is much more fun than just letting us customize everything from the beginning. This is a one-save-file game, so I definitely feel much more inclined to spend time earning my clothing and customizing it over time instead of just doing on things and leaving it at that. =3

I think we all do.
Also, we have a screen for the language option now, too:
Serebii (from Serebii.net) went to bed, but he will likely update the information he's missing (which is, surprisingly, a lot) in the morning.

Welp, maybe I'll pick this game and see if I can bumble through it in German.

Finally, we can choose which language to play the game! Thank you, Nintendo!
I'm liking this game more and more, with all the new features they have revealed so far.

And here, I think Nintendo has stumbled upon an unexpected educational device. Apparently, about 80% of the friends I've talked to are going to attempt to play the game in one of the languages here they've studied or know a little bit of to try and help their skills improve. I, myself, have been playing nothing but Japanese games for the past several years now (including Pokemon), so I may not have to import the game to do that this time. I really hope they include the option to switch to kanji again~
From experience, playing a game in another language is far from an efficient way to learn the language. On the other hand, repeated exposure to the language you are trying to learn is ALWAYS helpful and, assuming you don't mind missing some details of the game's story or objectives (internet!), I highly recommend trying it out. When I started out, I had trouble, for sure. As I continued, though, I conquered the frustrations and studied Japanese more academically until I got to the point where it all paid off. Continued trial was all I needed to plant my feet firmly in the ground and now I am moderately fluent in the language (and can speak confidently, thanks to actual academics and multiple experiences in Japan to add onto my gaming/anime experiences).
I wish these options were more available for more games...

Wish that the language option wasn't a one time deal. Would have liked to switch anytime I wanted instead of being stuck on one save file language choice.
I do wonder if we'll have pokemon voices from the anime now. Seemed that Pikachu was saying its name and that would mean maybe more pokemon would do the same.

I doubt it. The files needed would be immense for all the pokemon plus they're named differently in each region--Charizard, for example, is called Lizardon in Japanese, Glurak in German, Dracaufeu in French, Rijamong in Korean...you see what I mean. It would be bizarre to hear the name of a pokemon for a different language.

Did my eyes deceive me? Was that five Houndooms against one Pokémon in a battle?

Doubtful, that was just for the trailer, that one time. Besides, one of the recent gameplay videos played I believe Fletchling, and Helioptile's cries, and they weren't there name.
