Interesting premise. The visual effects varied from good to bad. The acting was absolutely horrible.

As good as Kamiyama and all those others are at their craft, it always amazes me when even an auteur like Oshii Mamoru fails to realise, you can't apply the anime formula into live-action. It simply doesn't work.

Thought it had an intriguing story. I have to agree with others who have said something to the effect that they thought the acting was lacking. The end song was pretty rocking.
