Does anyone have any experience with buying non-U.K. R2 releases over the internet? Specifically, discs with Italian subs?

(My Urusei Yatsura volumes rereleased by DeAgostino can't be the only R2 anime with Italian subs in the world, but I'm having real trouble finding anything!)

Are wondering where to buy Italian DVDs? If so, there's an Amazon Italy.

Not sure if you can order from this, but if you speak Italian, I'm sure you can figure out how to order from it yourself.

FNAC is a european chain, and this looks to be it's Italian websales site. http://ricerca.fnac.it/film/Manga/Animazione/n1086 They look to even have the new Italian Sailor Moon dvd's. Oh, and Princess Knight :)

Thank you both!
I'm so stupid. Of course there's Amazon Italia! For some reason I had a mental block about it.
And the fnac website looks even more usable. It will be very easy to find what's out there.
Thanks again.

It does always make you jealous looking at such things. Why do they get the Galaxy Express TV series in a nice DVD set, when there's no English version? Sad

You could do a price compare through Italian sites with Ciao. Also for Spanish releases. Wink

This gives you the opportunity to explore more Italian webshops. Be reminded that some shops can charge excessive shipment costs.

Maybe if the movies do well, Discotek will pull a FOTNS and dump Toei's english subtitled episodes onto dvd w/soft subs?

Until then, I'm seriously considering this french R1 boxset....

@Paploo
We can only hope! Good on them as it is for the movies.

I have to say that French release does look very cute. I always think French covers and posters tend to go for pretty cool designs.
