Can't wait for the Japanese track for this game. Give me that wonderful Hana Kana.

while the handrawn animation is nice, the gameplay looks like a handicapped Guilty Gear in an RPG framework. this looks just plain awful, I'll just stick to playing Xillia this summer.

how are people spoiled? can you blame people for being highly sceptical about rpgs in this day and age? this video does no favours to this game... i was looking forward to buying a new rpg but this doesn't look fun in any way. |

TokiTowa is a pretty terrible game. Japanator reviewed it before and gave it a 2/10. The game is already out, so there is plenty to show it's a bad, bad game.

I counter that crappy article with this crappy article. I've played the game. It's nowhere near as bad as that article suggests. The only major issue is that it lacked polish. Keep in mind, people (a) overhyped it not taking into consideration (b) this was Epoch's first attempt at a game like this. Of course there's going to be issues. Number and letter grades are kinda useless, especially in this day and age. |

I wasn't talking about the graphics, The battle system just doesn't look fun...
The story sounds interesting and all but... That battle system. *twitch* A bad battle system makes for one tedious game. I'll just be saving my money for whatever type of edition NISA will be releasing for Guided Fate Paradox {And Witch whenever that comes out}. Maybe pick up TokiTowa used. |

Yeah, don't get this game...it's not good. At all. The Battle system is repetitive, the storyline and characters are as cliched as they possibly can be and the game is just plain unpolished.

I can't help but feel that you're downplaying exactly how unpolished the game is, though. Visually, it had issues with repetitive enemy reskinning, janky character animations that were several frames too short, and low quality backgrounds that clashed horribly with the character art (to say nothing of Vofan's butchered designs). The characters and comedy do not fair well either, with jokes frequently missing their mark. Combat got old quick, especially with some enemies that are aren't difficult, just had a silly-high level of HP. At the end of the day, Imageepoch bit off more than they could chew. This isn't the only time they've released a sub-par game, though, and even if it was, that's no excuse. The game's just bad, and should be treated as such regardless of the creator's experience.
I like review scores. They can tie together a detailed review in a strong ending point, and can give a frame of reference from one reviewer's reviews to the next. They most certainly can't replace the main body of text, but they certainly have a place. |

it would much better if the character just don't move.
Since this is their first attempt on a game like this i would buy if the story is good. The Visual Novel part of the game is very good compare to other VN. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bd7dQ3x_NJY |
