To be completely honest, the basic standard of a harem seems to be to protect the defenseless man stuck in a sea of cleavage and power, but what about non-harem themed anime that have a those good or bad guys that you could look at and say. "Now there's a guy who could handle a harem. (or just squeeeee if you happen to be a fangirl)
For instance, Kyosuke Date from [/b]the Soul Taker is, in my mind, a guy who would be more of a protecter and provider, and I think he would've been, ala the flickers, had spoiler[they not been reflections of his sister's soul, because that seems like incest...]. Hm, some anime guys might deserve a harem, but handling one is still quite difficult, with some fiery and difficult female personalities around you
 .
I wonder why Maou Sadao from 'the Devil is a Part-Timer' spoiler[didn't have one in the first place (or maybe it just hasn't been revealed yet).] I mean, he is supposed to be the evil overlord with lots of power. spoiler[He could've had lots of women or at least one. ] I happen to like his personality too . It's cute how he is working so hard to become the best employee.

Don't get me wrong, I don't promote having a harem, but in anime, as a rule, the character with the harem is usually the one being protected. As of late, there seems to be a lot of complaints about the "weakness" shown in that central character. So around standards that no one is going to whine about, or someone you may think fits the correct criteria in your mind is what I'm trying to get at.

I think the main character from Porco Rosso deserves a haram. I don't think he would like it, but he deserves one.

I really think a harem is kind of cruel, some girl is going to be upset.
So should I be looking for anime guys that died for the glory of Allah? Although Sugisaki Ken totally deserves a harem for what he does, one character even agrees with this.
