Zenya YAMAMOTO (1 staff credit for animation director) is a kanji misreading duplicate of Yoshiya YAMAMOTO (山本 善哉, >50 staff credits for various animation tasks).
Both readings are valid ENAMDICT readings for 善哉. For the time being it would help to move the DVD credit from Zenya YAMAMOTO to Yoshiya YAMAMOTO. |

Why don't you just flag the wrong credit and add the correct one? (This can be done by any contributor while hiding a kanji name can only be done by an encyclopedist.)

He is right, however I can't find any confirmation that Yoshiya is actually correct. Neither of these searches provide meaningful results:
"山本善哉" "よしや" "山本善哉" "ぜんざい" There is a 山本善哉 on Twitter who's handle is "Zenkun", but it could be someone else entirely as they've listed no personal information and made no posts. |

There's a musician Yoshiya Yamamoto (山本 善哉):
http://con-mate.sblo.jp/archives/201301-1.html http://2.suk2.tok2.com/user2/conmate-protok2/?y=2010&m=10&d=19&all=0 And a high school track-and-field athlete with the same name: http://gold.jaic.org/kagawa/2011/11NTM/MAST005.HTM The only source of the spelling of the animator we're talking about, however, is at Anime@wiki, which spells his given name as Zenya.
I'm not saying Anime@wiki is 100% correct, though. |
