Maiden Rose, Maiden Rose, Maiden Rose!
Also Kyou Kara Maoh season 3. Heck, Big Wind-up season 2 would be awesome too, but that's really stretching the boy's love thing....

I'm guessing that maybe the licensing fees for BL shows are probably much less than say something like Kanokon.

Good move. It's a definitely an unfilled niche. I wonder if they could do multiple sub languages and distribute internationally if the licensor isn't asking too much.

"Shounen ai"... Now that is a term I haven't heard in ages!
Are you referring to the article stating it was boys love? If so, then it is not incorrect. Yaoi and BL are not distinguished by "hard core" and "soft core." All yaoi is BL, but not all BL is yaoi. In its true meaning, yaoi refers to amateur works. BL is a genre.

How the heck is big windup Boys Love THERE IS NO ROMANCE IN IT! in fact it is a very accurate sports anime.
Also that show nearly killed funis budget for other shows because of how badly it did. the save edition disc were put in the second half of the series initial release. that is how badly it did, it didn't even finish it's first run before going to save edition. so media blasters of all people should not pick it up.

This company is pretty much bankrupt. They pretty much all but cancelled most of their releases, and pissed of alot of people by licensing shows like Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei only to hold the license for years and do nothing. Do they all of sudden think releasing BL titles will help with anything? I dont care for the stuff, but no point making request to a company that won't release even if it licenses the stuff.
Personally I liked Kyou Kara Maoh but heard the last season went down hill , and they kind of forced changes on Yuri's characters that were kind of out of line with his character over the first two series.
Also I dont know if I would say shonen ai counts as boys love. Shonen ai can include series that are hoy yay, aka there are a few hints, but at the end of the day the characters in question are straight. Kyou Kara is one example where tech. at least through the first 2 seasons Yuri is straight, so there acutally is no possible relationship to be had between the main characters. Ghost 07 is another case where they throw stuff out between the main characters, but at the end of the day it could either way. Basically there is some ambigiuity to it, not all but some shows are like this, so technically they cant be said to be BL.

There is a touchy-feely thing going on between Ren and Takaya in Big Windup that's not present in other sports titles written by men. Seriously, the hand holding, caressing, moments were they get red-faced embarrassed is just screaming for some yaoi doujins

And there are hundreds upon hundreds if not thousands of Ookiku BL doujins.

that does not mean the actual content is BL it just means the fan base is. it's just like kuroko basketball BL fan base for a non BL series also those are not really present in the manga since what you are talking about is harder to do in manga

Media Blasters still has sub-division Kitty Media, which they recently licensed Aki Sora for the home video release to the U.S.

Which they still haven't solicited. Until they start releasing things, Media Blasters isn't going to have anybody's confidence.
