Sora's Key blade always looked very blunt. His Key blade looks very fatal. All in all, he did a great job on it.

Let's see if I get this right.

A blacksmith creates a real-life item of a works owned by two of the worst companies when it comes to copyright protection, creates a video and uploads it for the world to see, and will be recognized for the awesome skill.

Talk about playing with fire.

I give it a couple more days before there's a follow-up to this story: "Japanese Blacksmith Arrested For Copyright Infringement".

A blacksmith "playing with fire". I like it. Laughing

I think I could have been a blacksmith if I wasn't a squire. Laughing

Was there a need for saying it can also be used as a weapon? xD it's a giant metal stick, regardless of sharpness I wouldn't want to be hit on the head with one. Or questioned by the police as to why I was carrying one :p

That would be nice, but try to not bring THAT key blade to any convention you wish to attend. Just saying

He's an American blacksmith, and in the video he mentions he's built or smithed weapons to be used in like 200 films (including PoTC, which is Disney), so I'd assume he has enough sense to get the permissions necessary to do this. It looks like he regularly takes requests and does these episodes featuring different franchises.

That was pretty interesting, like watching an episode of American chopper without all the bullcrap sandwiched in. Bit of a kick in the guy watching him smash up the Dreamcast Anime cry

Lemme know when he tries to make the Dragonslayer

Wow, this is pure coolness. Definitely heavier than a cosplay model. Now anyone want to take a shot at holding this bad boy?

He doesn't need any. He's not selling it or making profit (as far as I know anyway.). It's fanart. Disney and Square won't touch him just like they don't touch the cosplayers who do the same thing. Youtube is filled with keyblade tutorial videos. It's a waste of time, resources, and money.

Not to mention he made it from scratch for his own personal use, so I'm not sure how he could be possibly infringing on any copyright. It more than likely falls under fair use.
