Another one bites the dust.
It seems the officials do not classify a title as being "officially restricted" if they are targeted and pulled, like these cited, but do not continue publication by re-categorizing/re-shelving and reprinting with the adults-only label. Like Aki Sora, Sugarpot e Youkoso would not be considered affected either if Yuzupon ceases printing. It seems like she's taking the same route as Oku-sama wa Shōgakusei, which continues digitally: Akamatsu's J-Comi Site Posts Adult Manga Restricted by Tokyo Law |

Wait, wait, wait...
Digital version can still be sold, but not the print version? What's going on here?! |

Because technically the ordinance applies to Tokyo, not nation-wide, which means it would be impossible to enforce online |

I think the law only affected manga in print that minor's could obtain easily in stores, not digital manga which requires a credit card and removal of child blocks on internet services. Well this interesting to an extent that I actually want to see why it pulled.
woman seem to own men for sex from the caps I've seen. I would actually need a translation of this material to know what's going on. |

welcome to sugar pot sounds like an adult title and shouldnt be sold to kids anyway.
Im on tokyo's side with this one. they just need to make a nation wide rating system and enforce it better and not allow cities to make their own rules like the NY soda ban. |

Kids wouldn't be buying it anyways. Someone in highschool? Sure. Children? No. If you're decision is based simply on sexual scenarios, then that's inconsistent with the many other manga with sexual situations that obscures the crotches, like Toshiue no Hito, or Haruko-san no Niizuma Recipe (a shounen title!). But their decision is based on subject matter and/or age of characters.
So, something like Denmark? But a nation-wide system would be even worse. Even the US does not have any enforced or compulsory media ratings system (though there is tremendous political pressure), but for other regulations, decentralization is the way to go. Power is always going to be abused. The ridiculous NY regulations are a primary example why decentralization is necessary in any kind of government situation. |

Judging from the pics, it looks like regular H-manga, so if it was sold under an 18+ label I doubt there wouldnt have been any problems.

In any event, it's the parents' responsibility to govern what their kid buys, not the state's. |

And nothing of any value was lost.
But on the other hand basically making it where stores can't sale something just because it has content you don't like is kind of a dick move. *Although admitingly if I had the power to i'd to the same thing, no sellin Annoying Orange or Jersey Shore DVDs or yea get a heafty fine! Hey I can dream!* |

It seems to be that the author of the Manga is female, as evidenced by her blog:
http://norisukeanago.blog.fc2.com/ Aside from her Hentai Manga, she also has some Yaoi series on her page. But that being said, I don't see why this Manga was pulled by the Ordinance. Its just another harem H-Manga. Had she or her publisher labeled it properly, they've probably would have gotten it on print easily UNLESS the Ordinance restricts the creation of Erotic/H-manga that depict young like characters in a setting. But considering how E-Hentai and Fakku are always full of hentai Manga with some High-School aged characters, I don't see how this could have gotten restricted.. Well, good for her I guess if she managed to get it digitally sold in stores. But harem H-manga is not my thing. I prefer for there to be intimacy between a pair of characters or an H manga series to focus a few set of characters instead. The only time I allow harem is when the guy sticks with the one girl they like, like "Oretame", because we know who Kohta ends up with.... |

As has been mentioned the Ordinance only affects Tokyo area print publications. Hence why the manga is still sold online. And going by the last lines of the article:
So it seems that they are targeting more than simply sex. Hard to know without seeing the actual work, but I would think depictions of incest and/or underage are highly likely in the harem setting described for this work |
