Has Viz released anything official on whether the Zatch Bell DVDs are going to be Hybrid or Dub only? I'm just kind of curious, because both Amazon and Rightstuff have the Vol. 1 DVD listed as a Hybrid release, and the recent press release only mentioned that the DVD would be out in November and have 4 episode and an SRP of 19.99

Probably dub only. I don't see them releasing that show towards the anime crowd, more like towards the oblivious kiddies who still watch Pokemon. Not that there's anything wrong with dubs, though, but of course the kids won't listen to Japanese.

Well, still the fact that Amazon has it listed as a Hybrid and a suggested age of 13+ could mean that we could see unedited episodes, besides, it's not like the Japanese version of the show is all that bad, unless they think people might be offended by Parco's song Chichi wo Moge
Otherwise I don't see why it can't be released with the Japanese audio track intact, but I guess there is no way of knowing for sure until Viz makes some sort of official announcment or we get to see the actual DVD case

I don't know what they'll do, but it doesn't matter to me, since I don't watch Zatch Bell.

It was already confirmed by Viz at a recent convention that the DVDs would be dub only. They may consider releasing the series uncut if demand and sales are adequate, but that's about it.
And Amazon's listings aren't necessarily true all the time. I've seen DVD information on that website that's completely wrong sometimes: wrong picture, wrong title, etc.

Bah, I've heard that line before. Oh well, looks like that's just one less series I'll have to buy

Zatchbell isn't all that, besides now you can spend your money on a better series that kicks booty.
