I wish I could go to SAOkura-Con. But living 2000 miles away from Seattle is sort of an impediment. Best of luck.
BTW, is Anime News Nina owned by ANN? Cause I'm wondering if she would be authorized to sell A.N. Nina drawings. |

...Why would we tell the creator of the comic that she can't sell her own art? People have weird ideas. |

No, not really. IP's are a tricky business. If Nina is ANN's IP and the author is not representing ANN at that convention, selling Nina art would probably be a bad idea. And while I very much doubt ANN would stoop so low, there are certainly companies out there who don't treat authors all that well... |

Poor Paola. She didn't get to go on her favorite show. And it would have been nice if the old guy knew what he was talking about. He sounded like he was in his own world.

I'm wondering why it makes any sense to even ask that question when I've been posting ads for her appearance at the con in the strip itself for the last month and then posted that ad she made. Clearly there is no issue with it. |

Sorry, I have to admit I didn't pay much attention to that.

OMG, blast from the past. That's the old guy who took Kevin's spot on the news program when he couldn't make it, right? History repeats itself.
And for some reason, Brad is reminding me of Jerry Morgan even though they look different. |

Oh my gosh. I love this. Thank you for the giggles, Robin! And I'm going to the wrong con! But, I hope you have fun in Seattle! It's a rocking place.

Quick question, did you make the old man call Spike a "Space Jew", because of the talk that Spike's look was based on Bob Dylan from the 1960's?

Gotta love them Japanimatoons!!
I always thought people speculated Spike being a Jew on account of his surname, Spiegel, having a German-Jewish history. I think it means "maker or seller of mirrors" which probably doesn't relate to him being a bounty hunter. That, or his lush green fro. Anyway, I don't really listen to many anime podcasts except ANNcast or maybe AWO once or twice. Any recommendations? |
