I want to know if it might be possible to see Elfen Lied on Blu-Ray, and where fans can write to in order to (theoretically) influence the release. Thanks!

Considering how significant a release the original Elfen Lied release was, I don't think its too unlikely that we're going to see it rereleased some day. In fact, I'm kinda surprised it hasn't been done so... maybe Funimation will do a license rescue?

Well, I don't think any letter writing-- especially for a non-hot topic series at the moment-- is going to do you any good. If you want to do something still, though, I guess that you'll just have to wait for http://www.section23films.com/ to open up from maintenance and try your luck there.

Thanks. Actually, our idea is, upon reissue, to organize fans and buy 2 copies apiece, in hopes that it will finally spur either an S2 or a reboot, maybe even an NA English manga release. No letter-writing campaign will change their minds - but a purchasing campaign might - we hope.

The license apparently hasn't expired, and they offer an HD stream of the series on Anime Network's site, so I doubt they'll be any rescuing going for at least a good while. Maybe we will see a BD though, it's not exactly a 'dead' series, who knows?

I'm almost certain that Elfen Lied is a digital SD show and it hasn't had a BD release in Japan - has Sentai done any of their own upscales? Also a promise from an unspecified number of people to buy two copies is a bit of a "jam tomorrow" promise.

I wasn't planning on making any promises. My goal is to ask fans to simply buy them - then let the execs on whatever level notice that sales are that good. You're right, the promise means nothing. If we can get it done, great. But I wouldn't expect them to commit one dime based on an internet promise. All I know is, a letter-writing campaign would likely be even less effective. But if we are successful, the money will be the means to recommend a sequel/reboot. I know there are a ton of ifs--but again, persuading a company with sales, if doable, seems very real world to me.
