This is getting to be an annoying issue I encounter often. I don't want to do anything illegal to watch it, Funi's still on the Skypiea arc, and there's no way I can afford all the volumes of the manga that were skipped in SJ mag. It gets annoying that people always talk about the latest episode, or that a big chunk of SJ mag is about One Piece, and, obviously, I end up skipping it all, which is really irritating.

Does your local library has copies of the One Piece manga that you can borrow? Have you tried inter-library loans if they don't? I'm currently buying the anime, but to buy the manga at the same time (along with Naruto) is way too much. Checking out copies from my local library has been really helpful. I wouldn't suggest skipping major arcs like that, though.

Last time I checked, I don't think they had anything past volume 24.

I would just stop watching until Funimation is at a comfortable range ahead of where you are. That's what I am doing with FMA Brotherhood and DBZ Kai.

Or I could PM you some links sites to watch it as far as it is....I won't post anything against the rules publicly though.

That might be okay actually, since the story arcs are relatively independent of each other. The arcs you'd be missing would be the rest of Skypiea, Water 7, and Thriller Bark. Skypiea is the most skippable out of the three, and there's relatively few important plot points to get out of it. The other two involve addition of new crew mates, the introduction of new characters that are important or at least reappear later on. Water 7 in particular is particularly important and relevant to the journey as a whole, and if you're looking to skip it I would definitely make sure I am pretty familiar with what happened in that arc. Thriller Bark also didn't have too much, but again, several important plot points, especially toward the end.
You're lucky it's One Piece, as entire arcs are semi-independent of each other and a plot summary will often suffice, as long as the main plot points are extracted. I suppose you could wait it out like others have suggested, but as an impatient fellow myself, I think skipping ahead is a viable option.

You don't really want to miss Water 7 though, that arc is awesome.
Really, just get ahold of the manga. Legally, illegally, however you can get ahold of it. Read it in the store if you have to, they don't typically mind. Catch up to where Funi is, and then hop back onto the anime.
