haven't seen it myself but most people say it's boring so only watch it if you like those slow-paced anime series (Noir, .hack//sign, etc)

It's about a teenage girl from the country who comes to the big city to learn magic. I've seen the first few episodes and was disappointed; I was hoping for something like Kare Kano's Delivery Service, but it was pretty bland. Nice background art, but just not much to the stories. And it's not that I don't like laid-back stories, but there just wasn't much gonig on, and what did happen was pretty standard stuff. Too bad; it's a good premise and they obviously put a lot of work into the art.

What attracted me to this show was that it had nice "atmosphere". Though I'd like to know whether the actual story is any good.

The story isn't too bad... although it's definetly slow paced, which can certainly affect your perception of the story. It's just that I enjoyed the manga more. Smile

I have watched that serie a while ago... the graphic is decent... the story is different as well... nothing too flashy.

This serie somehow reminds me of Haibanei...although it's not as good as Haibanei... but the atmosphere of this anime is rejuvinating...nothing too stressful and not a long serie either...

If you enjoy light and simple drama with a pretty slow pace this anime is worth watching, but if you like heavy action....guess not Smile

That's a fair and accurate description. I watched the whole series and left with the same opinion. I'd even throw it into a "family friendly" category. The best episode is the last one where they conclude a small story arc with one character. I think it's worth watching once...I don't regret renting it, but it's not one I would purchase.

Well Haibane Renmei is my favorite among favorites so I just might like this.

I'd say yes... as it personally has become one of my favorites (more so then Haibane). True... it is somewhat slow moving, but the character development is quite good, and well... it's quite laid back. There's nothing quite extreme in here (devoid of fanservice, and any fast action), but it's just a very good laid back series. The animation and music are both tremendiously good, and it contains some pretty intresting concepts and outlooks on certain things.

So basically, unless you're looking for something action packed or full of service, at least give SD a look or two.

It's nice and sweet. A bit lack luster and anti-climactic. The music is pretty (good soundtrack) and the characters are cute. don't expect the world, though.

Agree with Shiki. Sometimes, after a busy day, you want to watch an episode and relax. Instead of action, fan service, or tragedy, I'd pick up Someday's Dreamers. It is not the best title -- not even the best "Slice of Life" title (hint, hint Anime catgrin), but it helps me to ease up by watching a teenager trying to do her best -- not in Shuu's way or Chise's way.

It was intentional-I wanted to say that I hoped the show would combine Kare Kano/His and Her Circumstances style slice-of-life with a Kiki's Delivery Service style story. I think the show is pretty weak tea, and life is too short for weak tea.
