it amuses me the fact that he's not paying people to translate something that he's going to get money for. or is he planning to publish it all for free?

It seems that according to the tweet linked, he already has the other trans. Only needing English. |

Eh he creates more material for everyone to enjoy? Also read the article more closely: Sato had posted all the chapters of Say Hello to Black Jack for free, no membership required, on October 4. By October 24, the site had received in the range of several billion page views. Of the 400,000 new readers that accessed the site, about 3,000 (or about 1.3%) registered as members. |

Hey, how many scanlation groups would dream of having not only the permission of the author, but also his invitation, to do exactly what they're doing. Plus, it goes on a resume. This is, far and away, THE BEST WAY to break into the publishing industry.
Now if only my Japanese were better....... |

I hope it works out, because I'd really like to see what happens as a result of this attempt... but after reading some of the translations that have been supplied so far, I don't know.
I'm not a a translator. I couldn't translate to save my life -- but that doesn't stop it from being painfully obvious that some of these translations are awkward. They need the touch of a capable editor... or at least one capable of stringing together sentences in English |

This only could face to a moral bankrupcy. What would happen if there's no corporation involved in an edition?
Communism, Armageddon or both. |
