Finally, Its come to the UK.
Is the PS3 version compatible with the UK yet?
I prefer the PS3 for watching Anime etc. I have an Xbox too so it wouldn't be a huge deal if not.

Ugh. I've been trying to get one of Crunchyroll's apps (iOS, PS3, and now this one) to work from Japan for the longest time, and I can't seem to figure it out. I know it's not technically available in Japan, but I use a DNS routing service to get Netflix, Hulu, and other services to function as if I was in the U.S., and they all seem to work fine. Hell, Crunchyroll even works like a charm if I'm watching it from my internet browser. I just can't seem to get any of these CR apps to work on any of my devices.

Check the Playstation store and search under app section, see if it's there.

I wonder if this app will actually work? My PS3 app won't let me watch anything but Girls und Panzer this season. Everything else just brings up a black screen, and then I have to reset the PS3.

I don't believe it is on the UK PSN store yet. I installed it when it was first released since I have secondary Japanese and US accounts.

I don't have an account to watch more than the samples yet, but I loaded it up to peek at the interface. I'm on the fence about it. Without seeing a subscriber interface, it reminds me a lot of the Manga Entertainment or Crackle apps. Which is nice for finding series, but harder for getting to the specific episode(s) you want.

yeah I use it and it's a pain to get to the individual episodes. It like tries to remember where you are and play the next episode, which is annoying. If you do get it, you can get to the list rather counterintuitively, by clicking 'edit queue', then clicking the series and then 'see episode list'. kind of circuitous, but it works.

My experience with this app has been frustrating. If the CR servers* aren't constantly "unavailable", the navigation is a nightmare.
I would recommend staying away from the queue, because it's misleading. It should have been more accurately labeled "Last Viewed" in the selected series. There is no episode navigation through the queue, which is very disappointing.
To get to the episodes, I would recommend either using the search (faster) or shuffling through the ridiculous methodology that is the dashboard, which lists them in alphabetical order. There's also the anime by group (genre), but as with most grouped anime, someone else decided the list for us. It's okay, but could use some work.
Aside from the 480 defaults, the video quality and sound are pretty good, as well as the video features. Using the LB button returns the anime to the beginning and the RB to the end. Using the d-pad allows for a fast-forward up to 128x speed, which is pretty nice.
The problem, though: "Crunchyroll server is unavailable" is just too common. If you're navigating, the system kicks you back out to the top level, and any position you were searching is lost.
Videos just stop dead, and this has been the worst of the feature. I've yet to see one start back up, but I just don't have the patience to wait for videos to restart if they're longer than 10 seconds, and so far, this has been the case.
Unlike the browser feature, adjusting the marker isn't possible on the dead stream nor is there a refresh. The LB button didn't work, and on two occasions, popped me out of the video entirely, to the menu page, with the dreaded message.
It's rather stupid, too, the system tells users to go to the website to report the problem, rather than offer an option to report it through the app.
While it was a nice thought the app joins our online account, I find it a bit intrusive as I'd rather have an opt-out, rather than it be the default. I've pretty much every title in the queue, and this doesn't not fair well in the app's listing. I would prefer, frankly, a separate queue for the 360.
Ultimately, I gave the app a 1 star review. Harsh, but necessary, if only to return a message by me the app needs a considerable amount of polishing for it to be useful for me.
*I was skeptical of the app's ability to pass through two server pushes to deliver the content. I'm confident CR could handle the load, but not Live, and it turns out my skepticism has proven accurate. Live needs a significant overhaul if it intends to work with companies to push external streams though its system.
