Incorrect (misreading): Ken Koike (小池 健)
Correct: Takeshi Koike (小池 健)
Source for the Takeshi reading (Sakuga@wiki, JP wiki): こいけ　たけし

The article "Vampire Hunter D DVD release" needs to be edited so that it redirects to Takeshi Koike's profile instead.

The credit for Spirit Warrior (OVA) on Ken's profile is most likely incorrect since I can't find him credited for that one on the two previous sources I listed. Only for the sequel. He couldn't have been a character designer a mere one year after he started out his career as an in-betweener. I'm guessing since both OVAs were released together, the English credits (source for the entry) credited Hisashi Abe and Koike for being the character designers for both.

I've flagged and added the credits to the appropriate profile, so please hide the credits and kanji names for Ken Koike.

Additional source for reading Takeshi Koike: interview.
Allcinema reads him as 小池健 = こいけ・けん = KOIKE Ken which may explain the duplicate.

I agree with 1988 being to early in his career for a character design job given his other staff credits.

I think the fact that it's quite ambiguous as tends to be the case with single-kanji given names (Japanese Wikipedia seems to turn more people read "Ken" than "Takeshi" too) and that it's probably common in R1 DVD credits to be the more likely explanations for it. Two of them were my own even (on the CCS movies) from a long time ago. Need to re-check back through those with kanji credits as I know I've already corrected myself a few times on those already, like the 演出補佐 (assistant enshutsu) credits in the first movie which Nelvana rather bizarrely and confusingly credited under "Screenplay in Association with".

Argh... I was actually going to do that once I hid all the other credits. Just forgot about it... Thanks for getting to it, Shiroi Hane.
