"Demon King Daimao"...what moron came up with the title? The Redundant Department for extreme redundancy? It means "Demon King Demon King". (daimao = demon king).

I find it funny that the encyclopedia here doesn't list any genres for it (perhaps I should do that), but it does list harem and fanservice as themes. I'd say a better title would be Demon King Akuto (or just "The Last Demon King"), or just Ichiban for short (which is pretty much what I memorized lol).

I'd have to say the Japanese rights owners chose that title. It didn't get updated on Anime Network until several weeks after it started streaming, so I doubt it's a name Sentai would have chosen.

I started to watch Kaze No Stigma yesterday. So far I watched 4 episode. This anime look intresting . However, for some strange reason the anime reminds me of Avatar: The Last Airbender? The Light Novel came out in 2002. The anime came out in Japan in 2007. Avatar: The Last Airbender came in out in 2005. But the Light Novel were never translated in English so there's no way the creator of Avatar: The last Airbender could have copied this off (unless one of the staff who work on Avatar: The Last Airbender was fluent in Japanese and secretly read the light novel). Could this be a coincidence and the creators of Avatar: The Last Airbender might not have known about Kaze No Stigma?

I really can't say I see a lot of similarity between Kaze no Stigma and Avatar: The last airbender aside from the fact that both series have tribes of users of elemental powers. They seem fundamentally different to me.

Both of their stories are different. But it's the tribes of users of elemental powers that reminded me of Avatar: The Last Airbender. I guess that's why Kaze No Stigma does remind me a little bit of Avatar: The Last Airbender, but in term of story, they are both different.
