Just got back from the Dear Friends concert in San Francisco. Uematsu was in the audience and came up to thank everyone in the end. Then he asked the conductor for an encore!
This is the playlist that appears in the program. I added the encore which was not listed of course.
* Liberi Fatali (Final Fantasy VIII)
* Zanarkand (Final Fantasy X)
* Terra's Theme (Final Fantasy VI)
* Theme of Love (Final Fantasy IV)
* Dear Friends (Final Fantasy V)
* Vamo' Alla Flamenco (Final Fantasy IX)
* Love Grows (Final Fantasy VIII)
* Aeris's Theme (Final Fantasy VII)
* Not Alone (Final Fantasy IX)
* Ronfaure (Final Fantasy XI)
* Final Fantasy I - III Medley
* New Melody From Final Fantasy VII Advent Children
* Final Fantasy (Theme)
* One Winged Angel (Final Fantasy VII - Encore)

Man I wish they would bring that down here to Dallas. I would love to go to it. Maybe one day.
Thanks for the list though.

Wow, I wish I could have gone to see (errr... listen?) to that!
Anybody know if there's a CD of this? I've seen the OSTs for the individual games, but a mix of all the best songs together would be great to have!

The concert ran about 2 hours, including an intermission. I have to say it was very good. I just wish it were longer.
BTW: the last song before the encore, the one called "Final Fantasy" . . . what game is it from? I know I've heard it before and it's been bugging me for days now

You know that people are obsessed when there are world tours conducting nothing but a single game's soundtrack. lol
There was an almost identical orchestration down in Sydney, Australia last semester, also with Uematsu.
I think the orchestra's are different in each locality (at least by country/continent) so I can't imagine that there would be a seperate album released for this tour. You'll just have to buy the game OSTs. :]

I belive it is the generic Theme of Final Fantasy that is in all of the Final Fantasy games at some point in the game. IIRC each game has it own theme, and then the theme of Final Fantasy played during it at some point in either theopening, start menu, or ending credits.

The Australian concerts also featured the music of Joe HISAICHI - I believe that part was a mix of his work for Studio Ghibli and "Beat" Takeshi KITANO. I think that's why the concerts were called "A Night In Fantasia" rather than "Final Fantasia" (which is the name for the 2005 concert series)...
