Masanori NISHI (西井 正典, 11 credits for animation) is a spelling error duplicate of
Masanori NISHII (西井 正典, 27 credits for animation, 1963-03-18, Wikipedia page with reading にしい まさのり = NISHII Masanori).
(The only ENAMDICT reading for 西井 is "Nishii".)

For the time being it would help to hide the kanji names of Masanori NISHI.

(Classification changed to "Hide kanji" for now; may become a "Purge Request" when the 11 credits have been moved.)

"Masanori Nishi" probably comes from R1 DVD releases because of the romanization practice of reducing a double vowel to one. It is not standard, as "aa", "ii", and "ee" are not written with macrons in revised Hepburn romanization.

I have hidden the kanji, as well as hiding and re-adding all of the appropriate credits to Masanori Nishii. I did not re-add the Ah! My Goddess TV credit because it appears to be false. He wasn't sourced, is nowhere to be seen in this thorough listing of credits, and Wikipedia and Atwiki note Nishii as having been in the OVA and movie but not the TV series (so the credit was probably confused).

For these, I can't find a source:
(1989) Sonic Soldier Borgman: Last Battle (OAV) : Key Animation
(1993) Fight!! Spirit of the Sword (OAV) : Director, Animation Director

Allcinema seems to back up Ryo Yasumura as 監督 in Fight!! but says nothing about Nishii. It's confusing as it could possible mean either 監督 or 演出 for "Director", but he's never been noted for either of those tasks on Wikipedia, and Atwiki lists him as 演出 only once (in Iczer 3).
